Tullimbar Village is located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, approximately 100 kilometres from the centre of Sydney, and 20 kilometres south of Wollongong. It falls in the area of Shellharbour City, to the east of the Macquarie Pass National Park and to the west of Albion Park. This area enjoys spectacular views of the Illawarra escarpment and the mountain forests to the south, west and north. Tullimbar is surrounded by the Illawarra subtropical rainforests, which are characterised by large fig trees, cabbage tree palms and river oaks along the creeks and rivers.
Directly to the north is the flood plain of the Macquarie Rivulet, an area which has been reserved for rural and agricultural purposes. This will ensure superb rural and mountain views from Tullimbar into the future. Tributaries of the Macquarie Rivulet, Hazelton and Cooback Creeks pass through Tullimbar Village.
